The Global Mentoring Program For Girls
The Global Mentoring Program for Girls is a month long mentoring program for young women. The idea is simple: show young girls (particularly from public schools or disadvantaged backgrounds) what female leadership looks like, connect them with accomplished women, and help them imagine possibilities for their future post secondary school.
The Global Mentoring Program for Girls is an initiative of the Amfani Zhiba Foundation, which was launched to commemorate Aishah N Ahmad’s conferment of the Soniya Asusu Nupe title.
This is one of the most powerful ways to empower the Global South: by shifting mindsets, nurturing confidence, and enabling self-determination.

The Curriculum
These young, talented women work through a curated curriculum over a month. They learn about:
• goal-setting,
• vision mapping,
• financial planning,
• communication, and more.
They build their self-confidence, sense of purpose, and emotional resilience. They celebrate each other’s potential and success as current and future leaders.
The Mentors
We’re fortunate to be supported by a team of female mentors from Nigeria and Internationally who have distinguished themselves across:
• entrepreneurship
• corporate careers,
• public service
• civil society and more.
They are giving their time and experience to help the next generation uncover their potential and be shooting stars.
